Red Bull Racing are also impressive in the pitlane. During the Chinese Grand Prix, the Austrian team went for double pit stops twice. In doing so, Red Bull achieved a remarkable feat.

For years, Red Bull held the pitstop record. At the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen's tyres were changed within 1.82 seconds. Last year, McLaren broke that record. At the Qatar Grand Prix, the British team managed to change Lando Norris' tyres within 1.80 seconds. Since then, this has been the new record.

Red Bull go global

In China, Red Bull did do something special again. The first double pit stop of the race was already impressive. Even during the safety car, Verstappen and teammate Sergio Perez both came in to change their tyres. The mechanics were so quick that Verstappen could continue on his way after 1.9 seconds and Perez in 2.0 seconds. Watch the pit stop below.
