Andretti Global has started to recruit for 60 positions, although they still are yet to receive approval to join Formula 1. Earlier this month, the US team revealed that they had opened a facility at Silverstone. Their only obstacle at the moment is the fact that they don't have a place on the grid.

Andretti remains determined

Despite being rejected by Formula One Management in January this year, Andretti Global is actively seeking 60 new members of staff for their new facility at Silverstone. The team is targeting to join the sport in 2026. The American outfit's application, however, was rejected by Formula 1. The vacancies are for senior F1 positions, including head of aero development, head of mechanical design and other technical positions.

Mario Andretti, father of team owner Michael, recently confirmed to the Associated Press that only one meeting took place between the team and the Formula One Group. "We have only had one meeting with FOM, and that is the problem. We haven’t talked enough. I therefore look forward to our next meeting. Let’s sit down."
