Jordan: "I think he’d be reinvigorated in Ferrari"
Former team owner Eddie Jordan believes Lewis Hamilton's switch could "reinvigorate" him at Ferrari. Jordan believes the seven-time world champion can find his form again with the Italian team, and is excited by the prospect of the transfer.
"I think it's good for Formula One. To be very honest, I've thought about it now carefully. Seven times world champion. It reminds me of the Michael Schumacher days back in Ferrari. I think Ferrari are that iconic team that you spoke about, just like Monaco. You put them in the same voice, in the same sentences, just rings, nostalgia, magic," Jordan said about Hamilton's transfer in the podcast he co-hosts, Formula for Success.
Jordan also believes that the world could see the best of Hamilton once again. "Maybe some people will think he's [Hamilton] passed his best. I think he’d be reinvigorated in Ferrari."
Jordan praises Vasseur
The Irishman also had some kind words for Ferrari's team principal, Frederic Vasseur. "I think we'll see what happens there because Fred Vasseur who we now know is doing a sterling job at that team, I think their best days are coming up very soon."
With Adrian Newey's departure, Vasseur now has the chance to try and sign another man with a proven track record of winning championships.
