Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen have been disqualified after qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. The Haas drivers' cars did not comply with the regulations. Both drivers will start from the pit lane on Sunday.

The problem lies in the DRS system of the two Haas cars. The slot of the DRS system may be a maximum of 85 millimeters. This does not appear to be the case with the American team. The technical inspection showed that the slot was larger than 85 millimeters.

Haas admits mistake with cars

A Haas representative has now informed the stewards that a mistake has indeed been made and the team accepts the punishment. The FIA itself does not say anything about what the disqualification means for Hulkenberg and Magnussen, but the team has already announced that the drivers will start from the pit lane.

A technical compliance failure on both VF-24s, discovered in post-qualifying inspection, means both HULK and MAG to start Monaco GP from Pit Lane.#HaasF1 #MonacoGP pic.twitter.com/twTLn7gyxY
