Carlos Sainz starts third on the grid today, whilst his team mate Charles Leclerc takes pole position for his home grand prix in Monaco. To win from P3 is a challenge, and so, Sainz intends to do everything he can to help his Ferrari team mate win his home race.

During Sunday's drivers parade, Sainz explained how he intends for today's race to go: "I think the win is very difficult from P3 around Monaco. Obviously, we're going to do everything we can to bring the win for Charles because he's in the best position to do so. From my side, it will be today a race of playing the team game and making sure that Charles gets that win."

'I'll try to bring it home'

For Leclerc, he is yet to win his home race, despite this being his third pole start in Monaco. At the drivers parade, the Ferrari driver was reminded that this is the first time he is going to have a standing start, to which Leclerc replied: "I didn't realise that. We've had pretty good starts recently, so we've just got to do our things and not do anything too crazy. But the pace has been there all weekend."

For Ferrari, the aim this weekend is to ensure Leclerc secures his home race win. "We've got Carlos starting third as well, which hopefully will help as well. But we've got a good pace, and I'll try to bring it home," said the Monegasque driver.
