It might not be an F1 race weekend but that hasn't stopped Valtteri Bottas from racing. This weekend the Finn took part in another pro-cycling event, and has taken to social media to share his success following the event. Just a few weeks ago, Bottas finished 11th at the Grasshopper Adventure Series in Northern California alongside his girlfriend, professional Australian cyclist Tiffany Cromwell.

Whilst he might not have had the chance to pick up any silverware this season in F1, Bottas managed to secure himself a second place medal for the men's 30-39 category after competing in the Unbound Gravel 100 cycling event. Following the event, the Sauber driver shared the good news on X saying "Finally got to take part in this big event. Had fun out there racing bikes for 174km on gravel, and finished second in men 30-39."

His girlfriend finished 12th in the Unbound 200, as she shared on her Instagram stories: "12th apparently. Fast and loooong race. Proud of myself to make it to the finish line. That was an achievement in itself. Officially my longest day on the bike ever!"
