Perez signs multi-year deal at Red Bull Racing
4 June at 15:13

Sergio Perez is about to sign a new contract at Red Bull Racing. The two parties have found a compromise when it comes to the length of the contract, according to German newspaper Bild.

Red Bull Racing will continue with Sergio Perez for longer. The Austrian racing stable will make an announcement on Tuesday evening and there is a good chance that in this case, it will be the announcement of a new contract for Perez. The two parties have reached an agreement, with the length of the contract being the biggest stumbling block.

What kind of deal does Perez have with Red Bull Racing?

While Perez had hopes of a multi-year deal, Red Bull Racing did not want to do that. Perez is 34 years old, and with Max Verstappen, Red Bull already have a driver locked in until 2028. According to the German medium, the two parties have now reached a compromise, which would be a new 1+1 deal.

With a new deal for Perez, Red Bull Racing would have completely completed its 2025 line-up. Max Verstappen already had a long-term contract and last week it became clear that Verstappen will remain with Red Bull Racing in 2025, despite advances from Mercedes and Toto Wolff.
