The #50 team of Nicklas Nielsen, Miguel Molina and Antonio Fuoco crossed the line in first place at the 2024 Le Mans 24 hours. Ferrari's second Le Mans victory in a row was won by the triad who finished fifth in 2023. The #50 Ferrari 499p triumphed in changeable conditions at the 92nd running of the illustrious race of the Circuit de la Sarthe. Who are the Ferrari works drivers, and what have their careers looked like so far?

Who is Nicklas Nielsen?

Nicklas Nielsen is a Danish Ferrari works driver in the World Endurance Championship. The 27-year-old started to kart when he was just four years old. He won 10 major karting titles before starting his single-seater journey in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship in 2016. After securing six podiums in the series, Nielsen moved to Ferrari Challenge Europe where he took 10 wins in 14 races. His performance was good enough to land him a seat in the European Le Mans Series in the LMGTE class, which he won alongside 2023 Le Mans winner Alessandro Pier Guidi. The Dane then finished third in class at the 2019 Le Mans. He won the race in class in 2021. Nielsen also won the 24 Hours of Spa and earned a promotion to Ferrari's new hypercar division in 2023 full-time in the WEC. He finished third in the standings alongside Molina and Fuoco in 2023 and won his first race in the 499p at Le Mans this year.

Who is Miguel Molina?

Miguel Molina is a Spanish racing driver. The 35-year-old has previously driven in DTM, always in Audi cars, as well as IMSA and Formula Renault 3.5 as a young driver. The experienced driver joined Ferrari in March 2017 and was part of what Ferrari says was an 'intense programme of races'. Molina competed in eight of the nine rounds of WEC that year, winning at the six hours of Fuji in the GTE-AM class. Molina became a Ferrari hypercar driver in 2023 alongside Nielsen and Fuoco. His first hypercar victory came at the 2024 Le Mans 24 Hours.

Who is Antonio Fuoco?

Antonio Fuoco is an Italian Ferrari factory driver who was selected by the Ferrari Driver Academy in 2013. The 28-year-old acts as Ferrari's Formula 1 development driver and has raced in the WEC in Ferrari cars since 2001. Fuoco raced in Formula 2 in 2017-18 for Prema and Charouz. He won three career F2 races and finished seventh in the standings in 2018. Fuoco was promoted to Ferrari's F1 simulator team in 2019 and joined Ferrari's hypercar outfit alongside teammates Molina and Nielsen in 2023. Fuoco secured the pole at his first race in the hypercar class at the 1000 miles of Sebring in 2023. His first WEC overall victory came at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2024.
