Rain in Barcelona for the spanish grand prix right now

Rain in Barcelona: How will this affect pole-sitter Norris?

23 June at 10:43

After a rainy Canadian Grand Prix, the weekend in Barcelona looked set to consist of nice sunny sessions. This did not quite turn out to be the case after all. Indeed, with a few hours to go before lights out, rain fell on the track.

In the initial weather forecast for the Spanish Grand Prix, there seemed to be no problem. It was supposed to be around 26 degrees each day with no rain. So now, four hours before the start of the race on Sunday, it is raining in Barcelona after all.

Will it rain during the Spanish Grand Prix?

During the Formula 3 race, several drivers already reported light rain at several corners. A little after that, the Formula 2 main race is scheduled. Whether it will take place in rain remains to be seen.

It looks like the Formula 1 Grand Prix will be run dry, though. Indeed, it will stop raining in the coming hours. Besides, the amount of rain that has fallen is small.
