Besides Max Verstappen, his father, Jos Verstappen, was also in action this weekend. The 52-year-old suffered from several problems during the Ypres Rally and was ultimately unable to finish the race.
After his Formula 1 career, Jos Verstappen took all the time he needed to train Max Verstappen for the premier class. With the Dutchman now a three-time world champion, Jos started to focus on his own career. Meanwhile, he has already participated in several rallies and he even managed to win some of them.
The Ypres Rally in Belgium did not go as well for the Dutchman. He first suffered a puncture, losing a lot of time. Later in the race, his rally came to an end when he hit a tree hard, damaging his front end considerably.
