Max Verstappen will start the sprint race at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg from the most favourable starting spot possible. It is once again up to the drivers to secure some valuable points for their team. There's only one change from yesterday's provisional starting grid.

Albon must start from the pit lane

Alexander Albon will have to start from the pit lane during the sprint race at the Red Bull Ring. The Williams driver was originally due to start from 19th place, but adjustments were made to his car after Friday's sprint qualifying, so the Thai-British driver will have an even tougher time. He will start from the pit lane.

McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will start behind the reigning world champion in second and third places. George Russell, Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton are behind them. Sergio Perez has to start from seventh place. Qualifying for the main race will take place this afternoon in Austria.
