Jos Verstappen received indirect threat: 'Watch if the car would brake'
Jos Verstappen and Christian Horner are at a deadlock after their conflict surrounding the Legends Parade in which Jos was to take part. After Jos told his story earlier, he also revealed to Viaplay that a veiled threat had gone out from Horner.
"What I heard is that he tried everything to stop it and that I just had to watch out if that thing would still brake. I think that's a very serious thing to say," Jos Verstappen revealed to Viaplay. The latter seems to be a threat in disguise, considering Verstappen steps into a Red Bull Racing F1 car at the Red Bull Ring, the RB8.
Jos Verstappen done with Horner
Will that relationship ever work out between Jos Verstappen and Christian Horner? "For someone who leads the team and who wants to create peace within the team, I do find that very punishing yes. How should I deal with that when you hear this? That doesn't work in his favour."
It also comes at an awkward time, considering Red Bull Racing are actually under more pressure. McLaren have been getting closer and closer in the last few races, so they must do everything within Red Bull Racing to create calm and work together again. According to Jos, however, Max Verstappen could remain calm to perform.
''Yes, he does have that (calmness). Max is not about it. He was sitting there when that was told and he shook his head. Then I also know it's fine. It's a bit pathetic, but forget about it and move on. All the best for Max. I hope they build a car now that wins and then Max will be fine. I'll do everything so he stays good and sits well, but as long as he doesn't, then we'll see what will happen...'', concluded the former F1 driver mysteriously.
