After a thrilling qualifying session, George Russell starts the British Grand Prix from pole position. But the competition is very close and there are other many other drivers who also have their sights set on Grand Prix victory at Silverstone. This is the grid for the British Grand Prix.

Alongside the polesitter, George Russell, starts his Mercedes teammate, Lewis Hamilton. On P3 we find Lando Norris. Completing the second row is Max Verstappen, who suffered from floor damage during qualifying and therefore did not quite come out on top.

Hülkenberg surprisingly strong

Oscar Piastri starts the race in fifth, while Nico Hülkenberg has qualified sixth. The German is making a good impression this weekend, bolstered by an updated Haas car. The top-10 is completed by Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll, Alexander Albon and Fernando Alonso.

The big names who disappointed the most during qualifying were Charles Leclerc, he did not get beyond 11th place with his Ferrari, and Sergio Perez. The Mexican made a mistake in Q1 and qualified 19th. But Red Bull decided to let him start from the pit lane. See the full grid on the image below.
