Three British drivers in the three most favourable starting spots at the British Grand Prix. Max Verstappen needs to be of good stock to pass George Russell, Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris all three. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff sees he has gold in his hands at the start of the race at Silverstone.

Wolff looks ahead to the British Grand Prix

The Austrian looks ahead to the race. Russell and Hamilton are side by side and will battle it out. Wolff doubts the two drivers will spare each other. "I'm not sure they want to protect each other. This is about the win at the British Grand Prix. So, we let them race as long as nothing happens," Wolff told Viaplay.

Behind Russell and Hamilton, Norris and Verstappen start, so it will be a tough race for Mercedes. "Clearly Verstappen, I don't know if he had damage or so on his car, but he's going to be strong in the race, the strongest long run Norris. So, if the podium is still the realistic target, we don't want to dream about much more at that stage."
