Lewis Hamilton is leaving Mercedes at the end of this season. He is leaving for Ferrari, but is he wise to do so? Whereas his current employer seems to have returned to the top (with wins in Austria and Britain), the Italian formation has actually taken a turn for the worse. Would Hamilton scratch himself behind the ears?

Toto Wolff promised Hamilton another win this season and on Sunday, the Briton won for the ninth (!) time at Silverstone in his career. Whereas George Russell ran away with victory because Max Verstappen and Lando Norris crashed, this weekend was different. Hamilton did not win out of pure luck and he 'deserved' the result.

It is an indication that Mercedes are starting to get things back on track, while for Ferrari the opposite is true. The team of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc started the year excellent, but in recent weeks Ferrari have fallen back a bit. Recent updates are not doing what they should.

It is becoming a bit of a pattern. Starting well and then dropping off during the season. Will Hamilton wonder if he made the right choice by becoming Leclerc's teammate next season? We'd like to ask you the statement 'Hamilton is now regretting switch to Ferrari'. Let us know your opinion by answering in the poll below and join the conversation in the comments.
