Former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher is in a same-sex relationship with his French business partner. The current pundit for the German branch of Sky Sports confirmed his relationship on Instagram in July 2024, with a close friend of the couple revealing more details.

In July 2024, Ralf Schumacher confirmed he is in a same-sex relationship by posting on Instagram. A close friend of the couple, Carmen Geiss, confirmed Schumacher was in a relationship with his business partner Etienne who is French. The friend also confirmed that the couple have been together for two years. 

Commenting on the Instagram post, the German actress stated: "I love you both so much. You have the best partner, Etienne, you can imagine. After two years, you can finally show your love to the world. I have known Ralf for more than 25 years and he has always been a great joy to me. Always liberal, a good-hearted person who I can call day and night. Above all, he has always been honest with me in his position.

"I am happy that I got to be a part of this love and even more happy for the two who searched and found each other because I also love Étienne deeply," she added.

According to German outlet Bild, the close friend revealed the couple met in Monaco. Ralf Schumacher continues to live in Salzburg whereas Etienne lives in Nice. She said "the two are often together."

Was Ralf Schumacher previously married?

Ralf Schumacher was previously married to Cora Brinkman but they split in 2015. The couple were married for 14 years and had a son together called David Schumacher. David Schumacher is also a racing driver who used to compete in Formula 3.

Cora is a famous TV and media personality in Germany. She has featured on shows such as Top of the Pops and Let's Dance. She was also in the German version of Big Brother. She has featured on the front of several magazines, including GQ in October 2003. Cora has also competed in racing herself which included two rounds (Austria and Germany) of the 2018 GT4 Central European Cup.
