Mick Schumacher hopes to return to Formula 1 soon. The son of racing legend Michael Schumacher had to leave the grid at Haas after 2022, but the German driver does not intend to leave it at that, hoping to make his re-entry to F1 in the near future, believing that it is realistic.

"My chances in Formula 1 seem pretty good so far. It is important for me to return to Formula 1 to show what I can do," Schumacher told AFP. "At the moment, Formula 1 is within reach. I have to make sure I don't get too confident, that I keep persevering and make sure there is a plan B if there shouldn't work," the German said.

Schumacher drove for Haas in 2021 and 2022. In his first year, he was faster than Nikita Mazepin, his former teammate. But with Kevin Magnussen as a teammate, the 25-year-old German struggled, crashing several times throughout the season. Then-team boss Guenther Steiner was bullish and brought in Nico Hulkenberg as Schumacher's replacement.
