Gasly becomes a 'Swiftie': 'Never seen such energy in a stadium'

Gasly and Leclerc become Swifties Eras Tour Hungarian Grand Prix 2024

While some drivers including Lando Norris and George Russell decided to go and see the Euro 2024 final between England and Spain last weekend, Pierre Gasly and Charles Leclerc chose to see Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in Milan. Ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, Gasly explained his experience at the concert.

"I guess I am now - and Charles [Leclerc] as well. I must admit it was an incredible experience, I've never seen and heard such energy in a stadium. Actually we didn't even talk with Charles before the concert, and turned out we were in the same place, in the same area, without letting each other know. So it was pretty cool and a good night," Pierre Gasly talked about becoming a 'Swiftie'.

Coincidentally, Taylor Swift's partner, Taylor Kelce, is one of the leading investors of Otro Capital. That is the group that invested in Alpine, together with Ryan Reynolds among others.

Will Gasly win Driver of the Day vote?

One thing 'Swifties' are known for is voting for athletes who declare they like the American singer's music. They also vote against other athletes who say they don't like her work. This has happened last year, when footballer Alejandro Balde said he does not like her songs, and fans stormed websites to vote for Jude Bellingham and against the Spaniard. As a result, Gasly's comments can earn him a Driver of the Day award this weekend.
