Red Bull narrowly miss out on this accolade in the Hungarian Grand Prix
- Corwin Kunst
While Red Bull Racing recorded the fastest pit stop at Silverstone last week, the Austrian racing team's pit crew just missed out on the day's prize in Hungary last Sunday. Visa Cash App RB took seven hundredths less time to complete Daniel Ricciardo's pit stop.
The Australian's four tyres were changed in 2.01 seconds, good for the 10th fastest season time. The fastest pit stop is still in the name of Red Bull (China).
At the Hungaroring, Sergio Perez's pitstop was the second-fastest. Behind that, we see two times for Alpine, making them the team who pit-stop scored the most points this weekend. Red Bull followed close behind, as Verstappen's tyre change was also good for a place in the top ten and, thus, points.
The points are distributed in the same way as the regular F1 points count. Red Bull leads the DHL Fastest Pitstop classification by a wide margin. The Austrian team is more than 150 points ahead of nearest rival Ferrari, which scored just two points on Sunday.
