The Belgian Grand Prix will start with Max Verstappen in the midfield of the grid. The Dutchman dominated everyone during qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps, but one day earlier it was revealed that the reigning world champion has been given a 10-spot grid penalty for changing an engine. You are only allowed to use four engines per season, but the Red Bull driver is already at number five.

High-fives in Ferrari's pit box as Charles Leclerc put his SF-24 on P2 during qualifying. It means pole position for Ferrari and the Monegasque during the race in the Ardennes. Verstappen was fastest, and so, due to the grid penalty, he will start from P11 on Sunday afternoon. Sergio Perez has a place on the front row, Verstappen's teammate. He finished P3 during qualifying, and so also moves up one spot. The Mexican will start on P2.

The McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri can be found on the second and third rows of the starting grid in the provisional list. Norris starts from P4, Piastri from P5. The McLaren drivers are hemmed in by two Mercedes cars. Lewis Hamilton finished on P4, and thus starts from P3. George Russell may try his luck from the sixth starting spot. A surprising name within the top ten is Esteban Ocon, starting from P9. Check out the full provisional starting grid below.
