Leclerc and Albon react to Sainz joining Williams

Carlos Sainz will make the switch from Ferrari to Williams in 2025. The Spaniard has signed there for two seasons after months of talks with several teams. Sainz had to make way at Ferrari for the arrival of Lewis Hamilton. Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc and Alexander Albon, Sainz's current and future teammate, have responded to the switch from 'Chili'.

Leclerc and Sainz spent a total of four seasons together at Ferrari. The Monegasque would therefore also like to wish his teammate good luck at his new team. "I wish you all the best for your new adventure next year Chile. We still have half a season together to have more special moments as teammates," Leclerc let out on X.
Albon will face Sainz as a teammate at least in 2025 and 2026. The Thai also recently extended his contract at Williams for several more seasons, meaning Williams already have their driver duo ready for the coming seasons. " Welcome to the team," Albon announced on X. Sainz immediately responded self-deprecatingly: "Appendix-less team". Both drivers have undergone surgery on their appendix.
