Oliver Oakes will become Alpine's new team boss. The French racing stable has just announced this. The 36-year-old Oakes will succeed Bruno Famin there, who had already been known to quit as team boss for a while.

BWT Alpine F1 Team have announced Oliver Oakes as its new Team Principal. Oakes will start after the summer break and will report to Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo. The 36-year-old Briton will become the second youngest Team Principal in Formula 1 history. 

Oakes is a former racing driver, and world karting champion. he founded Hitech Grand Prix in 2015.
