Verstappen expresses clear preference: 'You can't bet everything on that'

Every Formula 1 driver has his own driving style and desires a set-up to match. Max Verstappen is a driver who knows exactly how he wants his car, but also knows that the same approach does not necessarily work for everyone.
Verstappen talks about unique driving style
During the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend, Verstappen spoke more about his preferences for the F1 car he drives. "I like having a car that is quick and sharp in the front, but of course everything has to be balanced. You cannot bet everything on a strong front end and then expect the rear end to follow," he explained to Formula.hu. "You have to try to find the golden mean, but of course for me it can be different than for someone else."
"Everyone has their own driving style," the Red Bull Racing driver continued. "So what works for me does not automatically have to work for someone else. Other drivers have a different driving style, but are also very fast. For me the driving feels very natural because I like that kind of car, but for others it doesn't have to be that way. That's how it works."
So for Sergio Perez, who has been struggling of late but is nevertheless sure of his seat at Red Bull for now, it makes little sense to simply adopt his teammate's set-up. Former Verstappen teammates such as Alexander Albon also struggled with this. The current Williams driver stated in the past that Verstappen has a particularly instinctive driving style that requires a unique set-up, which is difficult for other drivers to adopt.
