Race-winning Ferrari of Michael Schumacher re-auctioned after one year

Auction house Sotheby's will again auction Michael Schumacher's Ferrari F2001b. The Formula 1 car, with which Schumacher drove two races in 2002, already went under the hammer at the same auction house a year ago. The car is expected to fetch between eight and 10 million dollars.
Schumacher's Ferrari F2001b re-auctioned
The B version of the F2001 was used in the two opening races of the 2002 F1 season, the Australian Grand Prix and the Malaysian GP. Schumacher secured pole position and a victory in those two races and was on the podium in both. After the first two races of the season, Ferrari switched to the new specification, the F2002.
A year ago, the same car was also auctioned off. Why it is now going under the hammer again is not known. Interested parties will have to dig deep: the F2001b is expected to fetch between eight and 10 million dollars. The auction will take place on 17 August.
Over the years, several of Schumacher's Ferraris have been auctioned off, each time with a hefty price tag attached. In 2022, for instance, a Ferrari F2003-GA was auctioned for a whopping $15 million and a 1998 F300 sold for over $6 million the same year. An F2001 brought around $7.5 million at auction in 2017.
