Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc both enjoyed what appeared to be a rejuvenating summer break before Formula 1 finally returns in Zandvoort this weekend. The pair spent their summers away from the race track, instead enjoying the sun and sea after an up-and-down first half of the season. The Italian team haven't won a race since the Monaco Grand Prix in May, and the refreshed teammates will be hoping to change that heading into the second half of the season.

Ferrari's up and down 2024 season:

Ferrari's 2024 F1 season hasn't been anything to write home about, but some highlights for the Scuderia must be mentioned. Carlos Sainz won their first race of the season in Melbourne after Max Verstappen retired early on due to a brake issue. From the moment the Dutchman dropped out, the Spaniard was commanding at the front, bringing the SF-24 home for its first victory. In Monaco, home hero Charles Leclerc won Ferrari's second and most recent race this year.

After topping the timesheets on Saturday, the Monegasque broke his 'Monaco curse', storming to an emotional victory. Ferrari's upgrades haven't been what they hoped, and although Ferrari remain firmly in the battle at the top, it's clear to see the Italian team hasn't been as quick as its rivals on some occasions. Ferrari showed signs off stepping backwards in Canada. The infamous Italian outfit will be hoping to be firmly in the fight with Mercedes, McLaren and Red Bull after the summer break.

The pair shared snaps of their stunning holidays on Instagram, which you can see below. If this incredible scenery doesn't help you reset, then what will?
