Lando Norris stormed to victory at the Dutch Grand Prix, winning by over 22 seconds in Zandvoort. Red Bull had no answers to the McLaren driver's blistering pace throughout. After repassing Verstappen, it almost seemed like a walk in the park for Norris, who even set the fastest lap of the race on old hard tyres. Christian Horner discussed McLaren's pace after the race, telling GPblog and others that things 'can change very quickly' in the world of Formula 1.

When asked about Red Bull's lack of pace compared to McLaren, Horner said: "Well, it just shows that things have moved very quickly. I mean, we were winning races by 20, 25 seconds and Stefano was asking us to slow down in the first five races. And then, you know, it can change very quickly and that means it can change back the other way as well," he began.

Damage limitation for Red Bull in Zandvoort

So, how is Red Bull aiming to bounce back? "We know we've got an issue. You can hear that Max, certainly today, he didn't feel that the car was responding to what he wanted. I think we've obviously got to be able to manifest that into a set up that works these tyres across all conditions. And McLaren did that with Lando today. We weren't able to, but we limited the damage. If you can't win it, finish second," Horner said. "I think that it's more where the others found performance. And I think [the] front wing is a key area where, you know, others have found some performance.

"The McLaren has been the benchmark car over the last few races, and we're very acutely aware that we need to respond to that. And everybody in Milton Keynes is working incredibly hard to address that." Red Bulls team boss concluded. The reigning constructors champions will be looking to find a quick fix before Monza next weekend. With McLaren just 30 points behind them in the constructor's championship, Red Bull must stay on their absolute A-game to maintain their lead over a rejuvenated and fast-charging McLaren team.
