Max Verstappen with Kimi Raikkonen for F1 Italian Grand Prix

Prior to the Italian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen was in the company of a prestigious driver. Former world champion and Ferrai driver Kimi Raikkonen visited the Dutchman at Monza. The Iceman and Verstappen have often raced wheel-to-wheel against each other in the past.

Verstappen loved by Raikkonen family

On Instagram, Verstappen and Raikkonen can be seen taking photos with each other. Both drivers have had plenty of clashes on track in the past. When Verstappen won at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, he was constantly chased by the Finn. In Belgium in 2016 and 2019, both drivers were close to each other resulting in broken front wings.

Raikkonen has raced against both Jos, and Max Verstappen. Currently, the one-time world champion is working hard - as Jos did with Max - to get his young son Robin ready for motorsport. It could well be that Robin Raikkonen is following the same path as Max Verstappen.
