Lando Norris has again managed to reduce the gap with Max Verstappen by eight points. If he continues this way, he will have turned his deficit into a lead by the end of the season and will be the new world champion. However, the McLaren driver does not want to get ahead of himself and refuses to talk too much about the title fight.

Every weekend, Norris is asked how he views the duel with Max Verstappen for the world title. By now, the 24-year-old Briton seems frustrated by repeatedly answering the same questions. "It's the same answer every single weekend. I'm doing the best I can. The more points I get in, the better. But, still, eight races to go."

Next, the two-time Grand Prix winner is asked if he needs help. Norris' answer to that is short: "I have help.", which also comes from his teammate, he then stresses. "Yeah, he [Piastri] helps me, but I'm not here just to beg for someone to let me pass. That's not why I'm here. I'm here to race. He drove a better race than me, so I finished third, and that's where I deserve to finish."

Pole-sitter Norris lost his leading position at the start after an - according to McLaren - an "aggressive" overtaking move by Oscar Piastri. In the end, Charles Leclerc also took advantage of this. Norris could then only finish in third at Monza.
