F1 Today | Newey stands up for Verstappen, could the Dutchman follow him?

After Adrian Newey was announced officially to join Aston Martin, the British master designer also stood up for Max Verstappen. According to Newey, Sky Sports did demonise the Dutchman when he was fighting against Lewis Hamilton for the 2021 title. Moreover, he also talked about whether Red Bull are now not dominating the field because he left the team or not.
Newey on Red Bull and Verstappen
While it was announced on Tuesday that Adrian Newey is joining Aston Martin, the British master designer also appeared on several podcasts recently. Talking in the High Performance podcast, Newey declared that Sky Sports 'demonised' Max Verstappen during the Dutchman's 2021 title fight against Lewis Hamilton. He also explained that following the 2021 British Grand Prix, Verstappen had a nasty concussion.
Since it was announced that Newey will leave Red Bull Racing at the Miami GP, the team did begin to struggle more, and now, they only have an eight-point lead ahead of McLaren in the constructors' championship. Verstappen has also called the current RB20 a 'monster'. Newey also answered whether the Red Bull Racing became worse because he left. Budget Cap news
The FIA have found two cost cap breaches at two engine suppliers. Both Alpine and Honda have made procedural errors, the federation report. On the other hand, it was also announced that the other two engine suppliers, and the ten teams did not breach any rules.
Wolff and Vasseur preview Azerbaijan GP
Toto Wolff and Mercedes are ready to fight these last eight Grands Prix of the season, starting in Azerbaijan. Following Lewis Hamilton's victory at Spa-Francorchamps, Mercedes failed to stand on the podium in both Monza and Zandvoort. "We showed good pace at moments across both weekends but were unable to unlock this consistently. We have spent the time since then analysing why this was," the Austrian said.
Following their Italian GP success, Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur was optimistic ahead of the weekend in Baku. "It is one of Charles’ favourites. We are on a high following the win in Monza and we are determined to maintain this run of form," the Frenchman declared.
