Jonathan Wheatley will join Stake F1 Team [from 2026 Audi] as team principal in 2025. The Briton was a sporting director at Red Bull for years but will soon leave. On Friday, team representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi described the impact he expects Wheatley to make.

Wheatley had worked at Red Bull Racing since 2006. He ensured that the team operated within FIA regulations oversaw the team's communications, and supervised the pit crew.

Alunni Bravi, therefore, has confidence in Wheatley: "I can just judge Jonathan from outside because I don't know him personally, but of course we can see that they have a strong impact and contribution to the last 18 years of success in Red Bull."

He continued, "Red Bull has been at least still the benchmark in Formula 1 as a team in terms of organisation, in terms of talents. And so I think that a person that has been in one of the key roles in this team can just bring a positive contribution and I expect that Jonathan will be leading our team together with Mattia. So for me, it's a positive addition and we are looking forward to him next year."
