During the second free practice session for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Max Verstappen complained on the team radio about vision problems. At the end of the Formula 1 session, the Red Bull Racing driver explained his radio message to race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase.

Verstappen used the run off area in FP2, and narrowly managed to keep his RB20 out of the wall at the Baku City Circuit. He also suffered some understeer, but the three-time world champion did not see that as a huge problem. What did bother him a lot was poor visibility because of the sun.

Asked by Gianpiero Lambiase if he wanted to come in for an adjustment, Verstappen replied, "No, not really." After this, Lambiase asked what the restrictions were, to which Verstappen replied, "I just have a lot of trouble with vision. I can't see sh*t with that sun!"

Speaking to F1TV, the Dutchman explained why the sun bothered him. "I had two different visors stickers in terms of size. Basically, one was too small, one was too big. Because the sun comes down and then in between the buildings as well, you get some glaring moments and I struggle a lot with that with the visibility. Also there are a few things to fine tune," said Verstappen, who was positive after the first two free practice sessions in Baku.
