Will Verstappen get priority from Red Bull? 'They know their duties'
Towards the end of the season, it is always a topic that flares up: team orders. For drivers fighting for the championship, getting help from their teammates and team is very important. The situation at McLaren remained unclear until now, but Christian Horner has decided on how this is going on at Red Bull Racing.
At the moment, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris seem to be the only drivers left with a chance of winning the world title. Whereas at McLaren Norris has so far been given no real priority by the team, Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner told Sky Sports that at his team it is clear.
The Baku Grand Prix weekend looks to be, for the first time in ages, a circuit on which Sergio Perez could also score well. Whether Verstappen may then pass the Mexican depends on the situation at the time. "It depends on where the others are," Horner said.

"Team orders are always a contentious subject. But Checo knows 100% what his role and job is to support Max to the end of this championship and obviously the constructors. So, you know, we've seen him. You only have to think back to Abu Dhabi 2021 to see what a team player Checo is. So, yes, for us, the game plan is pretty straightforward," Horner said.
The Briton was then asked if he would like to see a situation where Perez and Verstappen drive on one and two in Baku. "I would love that headache to be managing on the last few laps," Horner replied.
