Is Oscar Piastri better than Lando Norris? Giedo van der Garde responds!

Over the last two Grands Prix, Oscar Piastri managed to finish ahead of his teammate, Lando Norris, on track. The Australian was always considered a big talent, but could he be better than Lando Norris? Former F1 driver Giedo van der Garden thinks so.

Even as Lando Norris needs to maximise his results to fight against Max Verstappen for the drivers' world title, he failed to beat his teammate in both Italy and Azerbaijan. On the other hand, Piastri finished in P2 in Monza and then won his second ever Grand Prix in Baku, so the duo now have the same number of victories in the comeptition.

Who is better: Norris or Piastri

So is Piastri better than Norris? Van der Garde think so, "This guy [Piastri] basically has everything. Only if you look at one-lap speed, Norris is just a little bit faster. That's because of experience, but also just maybe because Norris has just a bit more talent. Just in everything else, Piastri is just better."

According to the Dutchman, Piastri has something that Norris doesn't, namely, killer instinct. "This boy [Piastri] does have that. So in that he will always win. Look at the last seven races, he has scored the most points out of anyone."
