Formula 1 tyres for the 2026 season made their debut in Barcelona on Tuesday, where a major test was scheduled. The first prototypes of the tyres for the 2026 F1 season were tested at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit. The rim diameter remains eighteen inches, which is the same size as current F1 tyres.

Aston Martin reserve driver Felipe Drugovich was on the track on Tuesday working on the test. The Brazilian driver will also appear on the track again on Wednesday. On the first day, the 24-year-old driver covered some 670 kilometres. As we know, the new regulations go into effect in 2026, making it convenient to test the tyres in advance.

Teams taking part in the test deliver a modified car. It was Aston Martin's turn on Tuesday, and they delivered a modified 2023 car. Prior to the Canadian Grand Prix earlier this season, the FIA unveiled the rules for the 2026 F1 season.
