Verstappen still has worries in Singapore: 'Problems not solved'
Max Verstappen pulled a good performance out of the bag in qualifying to secure a place for Red Bull on the front row of the grid, but the Dutchman still has concerns about the Singapore Grand Prix. The three-time World Champion says there are still limits with the car.
Verstappen struggled during Friday practice and even finished the second free practice session in 15th place. But the Red Bull team, along with Verstappen's great performance, turned it around. He will start second alongside pole sitter Lando Norris. Verstappen says everything is moving in the right direction but still has some concerns.
Verstappen sees Red Bull moving in the right direction
"I must say that we did move in the right direction," Verstappen stated at Viaplay. "But we still have our limits with the car of course. Over the bumps and kerbs. What we had tried yesterday didn't work at all. Then it drove fine, but we had no downforce at all. We are a bit stuck with certain things. On a street circuit it's very difficult then," Verstappen said.
The Dutchman is happy to start next to his title rival Lando Norris on the front row of the grid, but his position is trickier. "The grid is very dirty on the inside. I've done a few starts and the inside is a lot less than the ideal line though. But we'll see for ourselves. We'll just go for it," concluded Verstappen looking ahead to the Singapore Grand Prix.
