Verstappen 'shouldn't waste energy' on community service row with FIA

Funny man Max Verstappen, made the media laugh after the Singapore Grand Prix. The Dutchman finished in second place, as Brit Lando Norris managed to win by some distance in his McLaren. Verstappen's recent row with the FIA has been an intriguing story. It began after the Dutchman was slapped with a community service punishment by the FIA after saying 'fu*k' in a press conference. Lewis Hamilton weighed in on the Dutchman's punishment over the weekend, and Verstappen was able to see the lighter side of the situation with the media.
Verstappen responds to Hamilton: 'He's not being punished!'
Lewis Hamilton, who came home sixth in Singapore, said that he wouldn't carry out the penalty Verstappen was given if he were to be punished. When Verstappen was told what the seven-time Formula 1 world champion thought about it, he made a joke. "He's not the one being punished!" Said the Red Bull driver, who again was not very talkative at the FIA press conference after the race.

"At the moment, I'm not even thinking about it, you know, about that ruling. I'm just focused, of course, on the performance, what we're going to do for us, then, you know, and beyond. That's what I'm thinking about. And for me, I shouldn't waste any energy on it, actually, because it's just very silly." Verstappen added in the paddock.
Toto Wolff also thinks Verstappen's penalty was too much. The Austrian said that in the paddock, there are other things to be worried about. One of the drivers swearing is not a concern, in his opinion. The Mercedes team boss joins a long list of F1 personnel who support the three-time world champion.
