Max Verstappen has had a much harder time over the past few race weekends than in the first few races of the season. The Dutchman hasn't won a race since the Spanish Grand Prix in June, while various other drivers have enjoyed success. But Verstappen continues to hold onto one statistic.

Seven different drivers have won a Grand Prix this year so far. Verstappen won seven races in 2024, Lando Norris won three, Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton and Oscar Piastri won two Grands Prix. George Russell and Carlos Sainz won once.

Verstappen only one with consecutive wins in 2024

The Dutchman is the only driver who managed to win multiple races in a row during the current season. In fact, he did so three times in total: he won the first two Grands Prix in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Consecutive Grands Prix in Japan and China and he won Grands Prix in Canada and Spain in succession.

Norris, Russell, Leclerc and Piastri managed to win several times in 2024, but none of these drivers managed to do so twice in a row. These and the rest of the drivers have six more race weekends to also win multiple races in a row. Norris took the win last time out in Singapore, and will be hoping to secure his first back-to-back triumph with the United States Grand Prix later this month.
