Verstappen wants to discover more of Australia after 'fun' USA trip
For the first time in Formula 1, an autumn break has broken up one of the longest calendars the sport has seen, giving teams and drivers plenty of opportunity to go on holiday for some well-earned rest. For Max Verstappen, he wants to take advantage of the next break by going on a road trip through Australia.

After this year's autumn break, the F1 circus will arrive in Austin, Texas for the United States Grand Prix, with many people enjoying travelling through the USA. However, for the Dutchman, while speaking about the upcoming Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas on the Boxbox podcast, he said a trip through Australia would be somewhere he'd want to travel.
"I have already done a round trip in the US, so I would then do a road trip through Australia," the three-time world champion said. "I did LA, Vegas. Vegas through Death Valley. I went to see the big trees at Sequoia. Did Yosemite. Went to San Francisco, then went back through the coast and stopped at Carmel, and back to LA with some stops. It was nice, and it was in an SUV. Stopped in local hotels along the way," he explained, visiting many of the country's iconic landmarks and cities.
