FIA visits Red Bull Racing to witness 'illegal' system
Red Bull Racing demonstrated how its ride height system works to the FIA immediately after the first free practice session in the United States. Ole Schack, a long-term Red Bull Racing mechanic, gave the FIA a detailed demonstration.
The FIA visited Red Bull Racing's garage after the first free practice session in Austin. Sky Sports stayed in the pitlane after the session, and Ted Kravitz could see what was happening up close. Ole Schack, Red Bull Racing's chief mechanic, gave a step-by-step guide on how the system works and how to access it.

The picture clarified that Red Bull cannot use this system when a car is in Parc Fermé. The team has to get into the car with the system to successfully adjust the ride height. So, it seems unlikely that Red Bull would have been able to adjust the ride height between qualifying and the race.
It is unclear at the moment whether the FIA has also reached that conclusion. The FIA has introduced stricter tests for this weekend and will also seal Red Bull Racing's system so that it cannot actually move. Red Bull insists it has never used this, while their rivals, including McLaren's Zak Brown, doubt this.
