Is the F1 chapter over for Magnussen? 'You never know'
Kevin Magnussen is yet to sign a contract for the 2025 season, and it seems unlikey that the Dane for get a full-time seat at the teams that are yet to announce their second driver. In Mexico, the current Haas F1 driver talked about his future plans.
Where can Kevin Magnussen go in 2025?
Magnussen's current team, Haas F1 have already announced a completely new driver line-up. Esteban Ocon will join the Americans from Alpine, and Oliver Bearman will join the team full-time next year from Formula 2.
While Nico Hulkenberg will join the Audi project already next season, Magnussen is yet to sign a deal. In Mexico, the Dane talked about his future in the competition. "I don't really have anything planned for next year," the driver began in Mexico.
While the driver has been asked about following Romain Grosjean's footsteps to IndyCar, he said he might remain with Haas, although in a different role. "We've talked about doing something together here, but of course, that's not going to be racing, so who knows what it's going to be."
Currently, two teams are yet to name their second driver for 2025: Sauber and VCARB. Magnussen did not rule out following his current teammate, Hulkenberg to the Swiss team, but he also did not rate his chances high. "I mean, on paper it is open, so you never know, in this sport. I've certainly learned that you can't ever know for sure what's going to happen."
