Franco Colapinto does not feel any extra pressure on his shoulders after all the talk about a potential move to the Red Bull Racing family. The Argentine driver has only competed in five races during the season but has already grabbed the attention of the Formula 1 world with impressive performances. He currently has no seat on the grid in 2025.

"I would like to be in Formula 1," Colapinto responded when asked about his future in the press conference. Colapinto impressed at Williams in 2024 and has been mentioned as a possible driver for Sauber or Visa Cash App RB next season.

Will Colapinto move to Red Bull?

"I came very late in the year and I got an amazing opportunity from Williams, through James (Vowles) and Sven (Smeets). Everyone in the team gave me a lot of trust, confidence to put me in that race seat. I got an amazing chance that I was not expecting to get this year. I tried to do my best and get the best results possible to show that I deserve to sit here," he added.

"If it's not next year, I hope it's in 2026 or 2027. I'm not really having much pressure or anything like that. I'm trying to enjoy the moment, enjoy the opportunity that I've got. It was my dream since I was very little to drive a F1 car. Now to be here doing these last nine races, it's very special," he added.

Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen supported Colapinto in Brazil. For instance, Hamilton stated that Colapinto should do everything in his power to get that seat for 2025, or at least that he hoped Colapinto had a good team behind him that could support him in it. Max Verstappen went a step further, arguing that Sauber should have taken him a long time ago. Colapinto has also been linked to Red Bull, but Verstappen didn't say much about that.
