Norris reveals how he handles pressure as a Formula One driver

Formula 1 drivers travel all over the world during the season. One thing that comes with that on a regular basis is serious jet lag. Lando Norris reveals not only how he deals with it, but also how he can keep performing. In addition, the Brit talks about "a plethora of thoughts" as a Formula 1 driver.
Jetlags cannot be avoided and is a problem for any F1 driver. The McLaren driver therefore simply calls it "part of his job": "Part of my job is not just racing, it's how can I make sure I'm prepared and fully fit and recovered and all those things to be able to perform," Norris said about dealing with his jetlag.
The pressures of the Formula One world
Besides jetlags, drivers often have the media following them. Having to keep performing, plus media pressure, can create chaotic situations. Norris talks about this, with the Brit stressing that it is then also important to completely shut yourself off from the outside world from time to time.
"You also want to be able to turn off. One of the things I've learned over time is... it's not always how much you can think consistently of these things I didn't need to focus on. I was almost overthinking things and thinking too much of 'damn I didn't do good enough here, I need to think of that and what did I do wrong there and oh what can be better here'. I almost overloaded myself with too much information. I see over time, I've learned to get more out of myself in certain areas, more focus and more dedication," Norris said in a conversation on Austin Evan's YouTube channel.
