Charles Leclerc should be used to high speeds as a Formula 1 driver. His Ferrari will go at 300-plus kilometres per hour around circuits all over the world, but some things take even him back. Leclerc experienced two days in the French air force, where he got to fly in a fighter jet.

For two days in mid-October, Ferrari's Leclerc was witht he French Air Force, participating in a training missing with the Rafale, a supersonic fighter aircraft. "This unique opportunity pushed my physical limits and gave me the chance to feel the extreme sensations you experience as a fighter pilot," Leclerc said in the description of the Youtube video.

"I’m so fortunate as a Formula 1 driver to have opportunities like this. There were so many crazy moments during those two days—tackling 8+ G forces, refuelling mid-air, flying right over Monaco, and even taking control of the plane at low altitude. Truly, an experience of a lifetime."

Report of Leclerc's adventure now on view

Leclerc's adventure was captured on camera and a detailed report has now been shared by Leclerc. In the first minutes of the video, Leclerc states, "I'm going to do some crazy shi*!" And judging from the footage, not a word of that was a lie.
