Hill sees Verstappen continue: 'Seven on the horizon, maybe eight?'
After a statement victory in Brazil, Max Verstappen has now mathematically secured his fourth title in Las Vegas, after he finished ahead of Lando Norris. Former world champion Damon Hill reacted to the Dutchman getting crowned in the 'Sin City' on social media.
In Las Vegas, all Max Verstappen needed to do is not to let Lando Norris outscore him by more than two points in Las Vegas. The Dutchman could do just that in the US, after he finished in P5, while the Briton finished a place behind him in sixth position.
Following the GP, the 1996 world champion, Damon Hill commented on the newly-crowned champion on X. "Got to hand it to Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen. They absolutely smashed this generation of F1 regulations," he began.
The former driver, who announced that he will no longer work for Sky Sports before this weekend, still pointed out his previous criticism torwards Verstappen, even has he praised the now four-time champion. "And of course Max has driven brilliantly (occasional loss of self control!) The event horizon of 7 titles looms into view. Maybe 8? That will keep us glued to."
Later Briton also commented on Lando Norris and McLaren as well. "Some fine words from Lando in the pen. Also from Stella. Quick lick of the wounds and on to the Constructors and 2025. The War that never ends."
