1 December at 17:40

Max Verstappen has won the Qatar Grand Prix after an exciting race which included three safety cars. He's joined on the podium by Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri after Lando Norris was penalised. See the full results from a chaotic affair at the Lusail International Circuit below.

Max Verstappen got away well, pipping polesitter George Russell at the first corner. Third-placed Lando Norris also managed to jump Russell, who finished the race in fourth. It was a chaotic affair, with three safety cars deployed over the 57 laps. McLaren's Norris was given a 10-second stop-go penalty in the closing stages after it was deemed that he didn't lift under yellow flag conditions. He was battling with Verstappen for the race lead and was then forced to pit to serve his punishment.

Elsewhere, there were big points for Pierre Gasly, who finished in fifth place. Sauber's Zhou Guanyu also scored points. It's the Swiss team's first point of the season and there are now no scoreless teams in 2024.
