Verstappen opts for extended holiday and will miss test with Red Bull

Max Verstappen has decided not to be in action during the final test in Abu Dhabi after the season. Besides the Young Driver Test - for which Verstappen is obviously ineligible - there is also a Pirelli test, but the Dutchman has expressed no interest in it. Yuki Tsunoda will be in action on behalf of Red Bull Racing.
Speaking to the Dutch media, Verstappen told them after an extraordinarily long season he had no appetite for the test, which is being completed at the same circuit as the final Grand Prix of the season. "No, I skipped that one. Someone else can fill that one in nicely," Verstappen said.
Test for Tsunoda in Abu Dhabi
Yuki Tsunoda will get a chance to show himself to the Austrian racing team's management. Christian Horner and Helmut Marko will no doubt be attentive spectators during the test, which could just be an audition for the seat next to Verstappen in 2025. On that, the Dutchman says: "Well I wish them good luck. I'm not going to watch."
Verstappen has only four sessions left in action this season on behalf of Red Bull Racing. It was announced last week that Verstappen will not be in action during FP1 in Abu Dhabi, with Isack Hadjar taking a one-off seat in the RB20. Verstappen will, of course, return for FP2 and the remainder of the race weekend.
