Only two teams take upgrades for Abu Dhabi GP
With the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix bringing the season to a close, as expected most teams did not bring upgrades to 24th and final round this year. In fact, only Visa Cash App RB have and Stake F1 have done so.
No upgrades for the big four
Since Red Bull Racing and Mercedes are no longer in contention for the Constructor's and with Max Verstappen having wrapped up the Driver's championship in Las Vegas there is little to nothing left to play for in their current season. Only McLaren and Ferrari are within a shot of taking the Constructor's to their respective homes.
Upgrades for VCARB and Sauber
VCARB is, however, fighting for P6 in the Constuctores, however the 13 point deficit to Alpine, current P6 in the standings, does make it a bit more difficult for the Italian based team. Having said that, it is clear that the team are aiming to at least take P7 from Haas, if they can. The upgrade in question for the VCARB01 is aimed at bringing more performance, so not a track specific development at all. They have brought a new front wing, which includes new main surfaces, flaps and end plates, to aid Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson in beating their direct rivals at the flag come Sunday.
Stake F1 Team, soon to be Audi, brought along two upgrades for the final race weekend. Like VCARB, they are looking to gain performance with these final race developments, firstly by adding to the floor of the car, and finally, by relocating the deflector at the brake duct at the rear of the car.
