After joining the team in 2013, Lewis Hamilton will no longer be a Mercedes driver in 2025 after a 'farewell tour' with The Silver Arrows. The Brackley-based team has brought the Brit 84 wins and six drivers titles in his tenure. Looking back on 12 years with the team, Hamilton has countless fond memories, telling some to GPblog and others.

While Max Verstappen, Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc picked up their trophies for the first three spots in the world championship in Rwanda on Friday, a usual guest was in England. Lewis Hamilton said goodbye to Mercedes staff at the factory. These are the people that Hamilton thinks of first when he reflects on the closed chapter at Mercedes.

The greatest moment in all these years? "I think it's the smiles when we've had the success. I think it's those moments. I can remember one particular engineer, for example, I remember our win in Australia in 2014. I just remember him being in tears when we were on the podium. It's those moments that I take with me," he revealed.

Silverstone 2024 is a highlight for Hamilton:

There was another great moment in 2024 after winning the British Grand Prix: "It's the emotions that we had in Silverstone this year. It's all the good bits. Naturally, you mostly remember the good bits. I'm just incredibly proud, but also just so grateful to every single individual, both that are here at the track, but also back at the factory that has just worked tirelessly and has been supporting me for all these years from day one." He concluded.
