In his end-of-year interview with Viaplay, Max Verstappen admitted that two British journalists felt "attacked" by his statements in Brazil. Without naming their names, he spoke on whether or not he felt he got on the British press's nerves.

During the Brazilian Grand Prix, Verstappen drove an impressive race, claiming first place after starting P17. After the race, he noticed that there was a distinct lack of British journalists at the post-race press conference.

Verstappen in his statement about the British journalists

"You know what I like best - I can talk about that now - then immediately two people feel attacked because they have to write about that on X if necessary, saying: 'Yes, no, we never sit there.' But it's not about them at all. Just keep yourself out of it, but they just consider themselves important. For me, it was about the normal journalists who do sit there. They weren't sitting there now. They always criticised me the most," the Red Bull Racing driver said.

When the presenter asked if he felt like the British media always talked about him, he said, "Of course, you have to look at it from the other side as well because if you had driven at the back, nobody would be talking about you. I don't think everything was always done correctly; that's clear."
