Ricciardo laughs at Russell-Verstappen feud: 'Never seen George this angry'
Max Verstappen's former teammate, Daniel Ricciardo commented on the 'war of words' between the Dutchman and George Russell, that began after qualifying in Qatar. The Australian joked about the incident, but also added why Verstappen shouldn't be criticised.
Ricciardo laughs: 'First time I've seen George this angry'
At a event where Ricciardo is promoting his clothing branth, Enchanté, the Australian was asked about the conflict between Verstappen and Russell. Ricciardo's first response was with a big smile: "It's great television," the former Formula 1 driver laughed talking to The Red Flags podcast. "First time I've seen George that angry!"
Asked whether anyone should 'talk s***' about the now four-time world champion, Ricciardo does not think so. "Not at the moment. The kid's like hitting his marks. I feel like it's a tough battle to win," the former Red Bull driver explained.
Earlier at another event, the former VCARB driver let it known that his Formula 1 career is over. "No, I'm done", the driver answered a fan's question. The Australian was rumoured to have a chance at the seat at Cadillac after the Americans arrival for the 2026 season as the 11th team on the F1 grid.
